19th Annual SoCal Public Retirement Conference is Jan 28

What's new with pension legislation? PERS? Attempts to roll back pension benefits and other key issues?

Ken Marzion, Interim CEO of CalPers and its Assistant Executive Officer of Actuarial &
Employer Services will headline the 19th Annual Southern California Public Retirement Conference in Burbank January 28.  Marzion was named Interim Chief Executive Officer in May 2008. He will be joined by expert presenters including:

  • Bob Palmer - Retirement Administrator, San Joaquin County Employees’ Retirement Association
  • Karon Green - Chief Consultant, Assembly Public Employees, Retirement and Social Security Committee
  • David Felderstein - Chief Consultant, Senate Public Employees and Retirement Committee
  • Dwight Stenbakken - Deputy Executive Director, League of California Cities
  • Terry Brennand - Government Relations Advocate, SEIU
  • Christy Bouma - Government Relations Advocate, California Professional Firefighters
